Mechanical Design Engineer/3D CAD Design Draughtsperson

The ROLE
The 3D CAD Mechanical Design Engineer will create 3D mechanical designs of burners and valve skids (including BOMs) in addition to piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDS). The 3D CAD Mechanical Design Engineer will also be responsible for producing fabrication drawings (including dxf files) and BOM's for sub-assemblies. The minutia of the role includes;
o Analysing project design documents and mechanical specifications / requirements to draft equipment required for the application
o Make arithmetic computations using standard formulae
o Utilise AutoCAD or Inventor in both 2D and 3D
o Prepares various 3D and 2D drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies
o Help the workshop to assist with design changes
o Assist with reviewing customer feedback

The Candidate
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and intelligent person with the following experience:
* Design experience in a mechanical environment
* AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor experience
* 3D CAD knowledge
* Mechanical Engineering skills
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Used to producing BOMs
* The ambition to grow within the role and assume responsibility for own projects
* Team player
