Henderson Brown is exclusively partnered with a manufacturing business who require an adaptable Assistant Operations Manager who has the drive and ability to work within an environment that will be full of variety, challenge, and change. The role will require you to lead and manage the manufacturing operation with a focus on continuous improvement, KPIs, health and safety and effective leadership and people management.
*Manage the daily operation to ensure optimal efficiency which covers manufacturing, warehouse/distribution operations and fleet management
*Continually review operations and processes and suggest improvements
*Implement continuous improvement strategies
*Maintain overall responsibility for Health and Safety and compliance
*KPI management and delivery
*Conduct staff planning and rota and shift allocation
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
*Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to effectively deal with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
*Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead from the front
*Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
*Conscientious and committed.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*Supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment
*Sound operational understanding
*Experience of driving performance across cross functional teams
*Health & Safety qualifications would be advantageous
*Ability to be flexible with working days and hours due to business demands
*Access to your own transport is essential
SALARY ON OFFER:
*£55,000-£60,000 annual salary depending on experience
