Associate Engineer - M&E Consultancy
A successful and growing Mechanical and Electrical building services engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced M&E Engineer to take on a senior position in its small central Glasgow office.
The Associate Engineer will join a company founded 50 years ago which has grown to have 6 offices throughout the UK, employing around 50 full time engineers.
They provide engineering services design and asset management for the built environment, operating across the spectrum of engineering and property management, from the pre-purchase or design stage through to maintenance and refurbishment.
The 2 main divisions are Technical Management and Design Consultancy.
This is a senior, managerial role reporting directly to the national Managing Director. There is an opportunity to assume leadership of the Glasgow office.
This is an 'all-rounder' role encompassing both M&E engineering design work, together with more hands Technical Management and surveying. However, much of the design deskwork will be passed on to colleagues.
The role requires a lot of customer and stakeholder interaction.
The ideal Associate Engineer will have substantial experience - at least 10 years - working within the M&E building services engineering area. You will have management experience as well as prevous roles as a mechanical and/or electrical engineer. Your experience can be either in design engineering or technical managgement, or both.
You will be able to communicate with internal and external departments and work well under pressure.
Whilst there is some flexibility, you should be able to regularly travel to the office in central Glasgow and to clients across the region.
