BI Developer/ Analyst - Manchester 3 days a week



We are looking for a BI Developer / Analyst to join our multi-disciplined team that's responsible for providing Insight & Analytics across the business via the creation and enhancement of dashboards & reports. You'll be involved across the entire development life cycle from requirements capture, design, data extraction, data modelling, report creation, deployment & testing.

You'll contribute to building out our Data & Analytics Strategy including tooling as we look to simplify our operations & to deliver actionable insights to the business. Alongside project work you'll assist in the creation of ad-hoc reports, data requests & support. You'll have a passion for data and a solid understanding of how it can be used to analyse performance and provide opportunity.





Key Responsibilities of the Role…

* Building & maintaining dashboards / reports in Power BI, SSRS, Excel or SPs to be invoked by bespoke reporting applications.
* Creation of core business metrics, KPIs and reporting tables using T-SQL.
* Management and improvements to the data warehouse and analytics platforms incusing ETL / ELT.
* Experience working with Salesforce and ability to create reports using the tools available around reporting and dashboards within Salesforce.
* Deliver improvements in data quality, database and reporting efficiency.
* Database architecture, design and modelling.
* Assistance with database migration of on-premise databases to the cloud.
* Understanding of performant and secure code and the change control process.
* Requirements gathering for new reports and requests.
* Stakeholder management and project delivery.
* Adopting a continuous improvement methodology and delivering a best-in-class service to the business.



Your Experience :



* PowerBI or Visualisation software
* Advanced Excel (Macros, VBA, PowerQuery)
* SQL Server 2012 and upwards including Azure SQL Servers & Databases.
* Advanced T-SQL skills. (query performance optimisation/tuning, primary and foreign keys, indexes, views, stored procedures, functions, Statistics, DMVs)
* Data types, XML, JSON & Querying of.
* ITIL: experience working with incidents, service requests, changes, problems.

Competent user in all MS office Applications.
