Our client is one of the UK's largest independent distributors of MRO products. They have been trading for over 35 years and have hundreds of years of experience and industry knowledge.

Our client is looking to hire a Business Development Manager. The role will be external sales-based, meeting with clients in the south Yorkshire area and selling the range of products. In return, you will receive a competitive salary, company car, phone and laptop and the opportunity to work with a longstanding close-knit team.

You will help develop a business plan and sales strategy that will deliver both profit and growth for a significant part of the business. Targeting new and existing business, you will develop relationships with clients and help drive sales.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Meeting and selling to industry clients
- Confident in pitching and selling to buyers and purchasing teams
- Building relationships
- Account management

Key skills/experience:

- Good at communicating with clients via phone and face to face
- Previous sales/bdm experience
- An understanding of the MRO industry as well as selling marketing space would also be advantageous.
