D365 Finance Systems Implementation Project Manager

I have partnered with a large end user whereby their strategy is to migrate acquired businesses onto the Group Dynamics 365 Finance system and this role is central to that goal. You will be responsible for the project management of the work to both onboard new acquisitions to the Group finance system and to improve our Group finance system functionality and processes.

Skills required:

* Solid project management skills with an ability to bring discipline, structure, and a repeatable methodology to our finance system migrations.
* An ability to lead, work with and bring together a diverse range of people, from finance, operations, IT and external partners into a single project team.
* Finance domain knowledge with a solid understanding of financial processes and finance system functionality providing you with credibility and the ability to knowledgeably direct project work.
* Experience in D365 F&O and lead implementations the platform

Key Responsibilities:

* Owning, maintaining and reporting on to executive governance on our overall schedule for migrating acquired business onto our Group Dynamics 365 platform.
* Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of individual finance system migration projects.
* Building and leading a cross-functional team, including IT, finance, operations and external consultants.
* Developing detailed project plans that consider all stages of the migration process, from initial analysis and design through to development, testing, and deployment.
* Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
* Managing and owning the relationship with third party implementation and support consultants.
* Providing guidance and leadership to project team members, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
* Establishing a documented, repeatable migration methodology as a Group asset which enables the successful and predictable migration of new acquisitions.
* Owning and leading the implementation of the improvement backlog for our finance system.

What experience do I need?

Essential

* Proven experience as a project manager in finance and accounting system implementations with Dynamics 365 Finance,
* Experience using project management software and tools and reporting status to executive governance committees.
* A strong understanding of finance processes and reporting
* Experience managing third party implementation consultants and IT suppliers.

Ideal but not essential

* A finance and accounting qualification (or exposure to) e.g. CIMA, ACCA
* Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field.
* Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
