Location: Dartford, Kent (Fully office based with visits to site)

Salary: Up to £65,000 (Depending on experience)

Hours: Full Time - 08:00am to 17:00pm

Company Overview

Our client is an established MEP contractor specialising in commercial and industrial design & build projects. A large proportion of their work sits within the film and TV production sector, where they deliver technically complex projects for high-profile clients.

Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their estimating team at their Dartford head office.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on estimating role within a fast-paced environment, responsible for producing accurate and competitive electrical tenders across both pre-designed and design & build projects.

The role is fully office based, with visits to site and meetings as required. You will work closely with internal teams and a trusted supply chain to deliver complete and compliant tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Meet with clients to understand Employers' Requirements
*

Produce detailed Scopes of Work for in-house delivery and subcontract packages
*

Prepare full electrical tender submissions with internal support
*

Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractor proposal documents
*

Prepare bills of materials and call-off schedules
*

Review specifications, drawings, tender clarifications and related documentation
*

Obtain and analyse quotations from the supply chain, including:

*

HV Network & Substation works
*

Mechanical & Plumbing interfaces
*

Fibre & Structured Cabling
*

Security and Fire Detection systems

*

Attend pre- and post-tender meetings and site reviews where required
*

Ensure all tender submissions are fully reviewed, quality checked and commercially accurate
*

Provide estimating support and technical guidance to colleagues and site teams as required

Candidate Requirements (Essential)

*

Circa 5 years' experience in commercial and industrial electrical estimating (or similar)
*

18th Edition qualified
*

Minimum 5 years' electrical background (C&G 2357 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
*

Strong understanding of tender documentation, drawings and specifications
*

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
*

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Desirable Experience

*

Experience contributing to full M&E tender submissions (electrical focus - not responsible for mechanical pricing)
*

Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD
