Electrician Technician

Cranfield

Circa £35,000 DOE (Can be discussed further) + 28 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension 8% Employer + employee decides contribution + Death in Service Benefit 4x Annual Salary

Monday to Friday, Days, 37.5 hours per week.

Electrical Technician required for a rapidly growing business, operating mostly within the energy sector. The company provides technical solutions and consultation on a range of fluid engineering based products. There is great opportunity for career growth, development and being a part of high value projects.

The Successful Electrical Technician will have a strong background in electrical maintenance from any industry, although those from industrial sectors will be at advantage. You will be qualified in level 3 electrical installations, test & certification and have either a 17th or 18th edition or equivalent. You will be experienced working with motors, starters, invertors, single and 3 phase systems. You will be confident coaching and mentoring an apprentice. This role involves working from heights. Those with a sound knowledge of process instrumentation will at a significant advantage.

The Electrical Technician Role:


  •          Mostly working from the production site, with the rare requirement to travel to customer sites.
  •          Coaching and mentoring the apprentice.
  •          Working on projects and installations.
  •          80/20 split between PPM and Reactive Maintenance.
  •          Working closely/liaising with the production department, facilities and others when required.
  •          Advise the team on electrical maintenance and improvements to the existing systems.
  •          Wiring up test rigs, panels and commissioning.

  •          Those with a sound knowledge of process instrumentation or having worked in a similar environment will at a significant advantage.
