Henderson Brown is exclusively supporting a key client with recruiting for a Engineering Maintenance Manager based in Bedfordshire. The Engineering Maintenance Manager will lead all engineering and process requirements with a focus on resource planning, budget control, engineering projects, production planning and facilities management. The role will require you to work Monday to Friday with occasional travel required depending on business needs.
*Develop preventative and reactive plant and equipment maintenance programmes
*Prepare and submit annual Engineering operating budget and forecasts.
*Instrumental in formulating new product and process engineering strategies, to increase operational and strategic effectiveness
*Identify strategies of factory improvement to support both short term and long-term group business plans.
*Implement all capital expenditure projects to agreed budget, quality, and timescales providing a smooth hand-over to production owners.
*Manage consultants and contractors on key capital projects
*Manage new installation projects and the commissioning of new plant machinery and renovation works.
*Provide technical advice on engineering issues spanning facilities, machinery and process development and closely liaise with Production to minimise risk.
*Ensure health and safety obligations and safe systems of work are observed.
*Production management to always ensure production continuity.
*Previous engineering management experience within a manufacturing environment
*Engineering project management experience is essential
*Industry relevant qualifications- e.g., IOSH, 18th edition etc
*Experience running multiple projects and balancing this with operational support and day-to-day managerial duties.
