Advancing People are assisting our Bedford based client in the appointment of an Administrator within their Compliance department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



* Review and approval of financial crime and sanctions matters escalated to second line of defence for review and approval
* Review and approval of payments that pose a higher financial crime risk
* Initial Appointed Representative and Introducer regulatory risk assessments and consideration of additional resources and controls required
* Initial review and regulatory risk assessment of new third party service provider arrangements.
* Review and assistance with addressing data subject right requests
* Review and approval of final responses to complaints (as well as assessment of root causes)
* Review and support in relation to escalated breaches
* Review and approval of financial promotions and marketing material
* Provides on-going advice with regard to data protection related requirements relating to client communications and marketing
* Review and support for any entity set up queries raised via the Security team
* Provides support to the business in implementing the principle of "data protection by design" and to review "Data Protection Impact Assessments"
* Shall contribute and provider support in relation to ensuring that the Operating Entities maintain adequate financial crime, sanctions and data protection related systems and controls, including in relation to fraud, anti-money laundering, data protection, market abuse, criminal finances act, bribery and corruption.
* Contributes towards the development and implementation of second line of defence monitoring metrics which support the early identification of any emerging trends which may signal potential issues associated with financial crime, sanctions and data protection.
* Contributes and supports the Business Support Team's ability to develop and maintain a process to measure and monitor the financial crime, data protection and sanctions risk profile of each Business Unit and Division (including their Appointed Representatives), to ensure the appropriate assignment of support and resources.
* Provides support to the business units in providing technical input and expertise, interpreting compliance regulations/requirements and relating this to business activities, in relation to Financial Crime, Data Protection and Sanctions.
* Supports in the identification of regulatory developments & changes in relation to Financial Crime, Sanctions and Data Protection and assists with impact and gap analysis, providing advice and recommendations to improve performance and mitigate risks.
* Supports the provision of regular updates on Compliance Business Support, Financial Crime, Sanctions and Data Security matters to relevant stakeholders, including arising issues and/or incidents occurring in the business, along with findings, recommendations and management-actions arising out of compliance reviews.
* Consider and respond to any Financial Crime, Sanctions or Data Protection concerns, issues or breaches identified by either the first line monitoring functions or the Compliance Monitoring Team.
* Provides face-to-face and written, regular regulatory updates to client-facing and functional colleagues, explaining developments as posted on the relevant pages of the intranet.
* Liaises with the business to ensure that any Business Support, Financial Crime, Sanctions and Data Protection related enhancements or remedial action plans are addressed for all one-off issues and systemic issues.
* Identifies relevant Business Support, Financial Crime, Sanctions and Data Protection training needs for the business area (including induction for new employees).
* Provides technical expertise to specific projects and initiatives in order to ensure goals and objectives are met.
* Keeps informed of all regulatory and legal changes which impacts on the job role.
* Ensures up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems.
* Responds appropriately to urgent issues as they arise.
