Financial Systems and Reporting Manager
The Role:
This role is integral to a leading financial services organisation operating within a regulated environment, with oversight from regulatory bodies. The Financial Systems and Reporting Manager will support the Head of Financial Systems and Control in ensuring precise and prompt financial reporting, alongside maintaining a high standard of financial control. This will involve overseeing financial systems support, acting as a primary liaison for projects affecting financial systems, and coordinating the monitoring and reporting of financial risks and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the interdependencies between financial systems and ensure changes are implemented in a controlled manner.
* Support the monitoring and review of operational risk and control standards, ensuring robust controls are in place across finance teams.
* Coordinate the assessment and reporting of financial risks and controls, liaising with the Risk department and reporting to the Risk Committee as necessary.
* Serve as a primary contact for finance-related projects that impact financial systems.
* Lead initiatives to improve processes and enhance automation for greater efficiency while maintaining effective controls.
* Address ad-hoc queries and requests for financial information as needed.
Experience:
* Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
* Knowledge of IFRS and US/UK GAAP accounting standards.
* Strong analytical capabilities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with financial systems teams and finance risk and control operations.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
* Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
