Our client is looking for an up and coming General Manager / Head of Business to lead and inspire their large team across their flagship User Car Dealership based in the Leeds area. The company has a car for every type of person so a car can be sold to the whole of market. As a Head of Business / General Manager, you will lead, motivate, manage and drive your team to provide customer service excellence, whilst delivering against the company's key performance indicators. You will take responsibility for the presentation of the Retail Centre and build and maintain strong relationships with your team. You will work closely with other departments, be hands-on with the day-to-day running of the centre, and achieve the highest results possible.

Alongside your customer-centric attitude, you will be commercially minded, passionate about the car industry, and motivated by setting, achieving and exceeding targets.

This role would suit a driven General Sales Manager who is looking for a step up.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* A proven track record in sales (within the Automotive Industry)
* A strong used car background - ideally from a used car supermarket
* The ability to lead by example, manage and inspire the team to deliver an Incredible performance.
* Strong customer focus
* Great computer literacy
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Self-motivation
* Experience of working with Aftersales / Service departments would be an added advantage but isn't essential.

Your Responsibilities

* Leading and motivating a large but cohesive team - 30 + sales executives.
* To unleash the potential of the sales team by setting stretching objectives and providing regular feedback on performance against these objectives
* To resource the sales team appropriately on a day-to-day and longer-term basis.
* Ensure that compliance is enforced and that it meets all the obligations relating to the customer experience
* Be receptive to new ways of doing things and actively encourage the sales team to try out new ideas
* Inspire the sales team to deliver an Incredible Customer Experience for every customer that the sales team comes into contact with.
* Manage the day-to-day sales activities such as deal files, handovers, sales funnel to maximise sales revenue.
* Supervise and organise the aftersales/service function on site - 2 site technicians.

Working Pattern

Your working pattern will cover a mixture of weekends and weekdays, mainly long days of 4 or 5 days per week, rota dependent. The dealership is open until 10pm so the shifts will be long but highly profitable.

An extended in-house training period will be required initially - this will mean travel to the other parts of the business to absorb the company culture and processes, accommodation, mileage etc. to be expensed by the company.
