Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Surveyor - Construction Manager to take ownership of multiple projects from inception to completion. This hybrid role combines the commercial leadership of a senior surveyor with the operational oversight of a construction manager. You'll be instrumental in delivering refurbishment works efficiently, profitably, and to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

*Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multiple refurbishment projects (up to £500k).
*Oversee all commercial aspects including cost planning, tendering, valuations, and final accounts.
*Act as the main point of contact between the client, site teams, and subcontractors.
*Coordinate and manage site teams, ensuring smooth delivery and adherence to programme.
*Prepare and manage procurement schedules, BOQs, and cost reports.
*Provide input during design and pre-construction phases, including value engineering.
*Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
*Use AutoCAD for planning, reviewing layouts, and coordinating with design teams.
*Report regularly to company directors on project progress, budgets, and risks.

Candidate Requirements:

*Proven experience in a dual surveyor/project or construction management role.
*Strong knowledge of residential and commercial refurbishment.
*Comfortable managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
*Skilled in both commercial and operational project oversight.
*Proficient in AutoCAD (desirable) and other relevant construction software.
*Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
*Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
*Full UK driving license.
