Job Title:             HR Officer

Location:             Andover

Hours:                  37.5 hrs per week – Monday to Friday

Salary:                 £25,000 – £30,000 (Dependant on Experience)

Role information

Company client is delighted to be recruiting for this prestigious local company, with beautiful Idyllic grounds. We are seeking a HR Officer who is the focal point for Recruitment and HR advice for the client. The role will be a heavier recruitment split to HR.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the staff recruitment process from advert to offers which will be at least 70 - 80% of your role, to then collecting references and right to Work Documents
  • Carry out strict pre-appointment checks for anyone that is working on site to ensure safeguarding is at its highest standards, including managing a central register for these
  • New starter and leaver processes, including arranging inductions and conducting exit interviews
  • Supporting the Senior Management Team with regards to employment issues, such as disciplinaries and grievances etc
  • Supporting the Director of Finance to ensure all Policies are always up to date, in line with employment law, business regulations and so they are always ready for inspections
  • Liaise with the Finance Team in relation to pay and review matters, produce annual salary letters
  • Maintain up to date employee records in accordance with statutory and inspection requirements
  • Support the relevant managers with regards to Probation and Appraisals
  • Involvement in projects where there are HR implications
  • Draft standard offer letters and contracts of employment and other variations to terms and conditions of employment
  • Process reference requests for former employees
  • Maintain up-to-date terms and conditions of service for all staff
  • Record staff absence of any type
  • Provide staff data as needed by managers for statistical surveys
  • Update / review the website to ensure always up to date

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A level or equivalent, at Grade C or above.
  • CIPD qualification at level 3 min
  • Excellent standard of written English
  • Meticulous eye for detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • High levels of discretion
  • Previous HR, Recruitment, and management experience
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation
