HR Engagement Officer - Waltham Cross
Salary: up to £35,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

Location: Waltham Cross (due to the nature of the role, travelling to other sites will be required)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

The Company:

We are delighted to be representing a privately-owned, fast growing business within the
Fresh Produce sector, who are seeking an Engagement Officer to join their thriving team based local to Waltham Cross. This is a vital and exciting role, whereby you will work on delivering strategies to support retention, communication, and employee engagement objectives.

Accountabilities of the HR Engagement Officer include:

* To support the organisation with the delivery of high-quality communications and employee engagement activity to drive and support the delivery of people objectives e.g., retention, performance, communication, recognition, reward, and development
* Work with various stakeholders from across the business to support the design and facilitation for a wide range of projects, activities and initiatives that impact employee engagement including forums, committees, employee briefings, management meetings etc.
* Keep communication channels across the business updated regularly and in line with business branding e.g., notice boards, comms tv's
* Advise senior level stakeholders on communications and engagement concerns and propose suitable recommendations
* Working with various stakeholder and senior management - Identify and implement continuous improvements to deliver new and innovative ways to engage, empower, reward, recognise, communicate, and evaluate activity making suggestions for improvements
* Champion company engagement events/initiatives to increase participation through creative and proactive communication strategies
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, managers and other stakeholders as required through visibility and open communication
* Support new starters within operations in addition to existing induction practices through practical interventions such as regular check-ins
* Guide, coach, and influence managers to own engagement, communication and adopt leadership practices that supports the agreed people objectives within the warehouse
* Establish benchmarks and targets against which future improvements can be made and measured

To be considered for the position:

* You will be an experienced Engagement Officer, ER Specialist, HR Advisor, Learning and Development Specialist or similar, with direct experience of supporting employee engagement initiatives.
* You will ideally have experience either within the fresh produce, food manufacturing or FMCG industries
* You will have excellent communication skills and be confident in nature when dealing with stakeholders at all levels
* You will have access to a car and happy to travel to different sites as and when required
