Salary: up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits

Location: 2 sites local to Huntingdon, hybrid working available

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, hybrid working available to work from home several days a week, and flexible hours optional

The Company:

We are delighted to be representing a privately-owned, fast growing business within the
Fresh Produce sector, who are seeking a HR Manager to join their thriving team based local to Kettering. This is a true generalist HR position, which will suit someone who is hungry to add value to a forward thinking and fast-paced business, involving managing a small HR team whilst supporting with recruitment, onboarding, legislation advice, ER issues, and influencing and supporting the operations teams.

Accountabilities of the HR Manager include:

*Team management including coaching and developing the HR Assistant and HR Administrator to deliver all aspects of their roles, including system maintenance, employee relations, recruitment colleague communication and engagement.
*Accountable for all day-to-day people activities, ensuring that all employment matters are managed appropriately and compliant with the appropriate European employment & immigration regulations.
*Advising and coaching to upskill managers in all employee relations matters (performance, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, probation) helping them to make the right decisions and follow our processes.
*Preparation and compliance for audits including SMETA, customer audits, working with the technical team on ethical trading matters.
*Review of policies and procedures to ensure they remain compliant and relevant. Identify gaps for improvement and develop toolkits to empower our managers in line with best practice.
*Accountable for managing recruitment end to end in a timely manner and managing recruitment costs within the people budget whilst understanding talent planning.
*Working with the operation to deliver flexibility, stability and workforce planning solutions.
*Developing our benefits package and overall employee offering reviewing the uptake and truly understanding our workforce needs to support attraction and retention to ensure our colleagues are informed of the benefits and we remain competitive.
*Supporting our business functions, including meeting regularly with the business department managers and senior managers in operations, commercial, procurement and technical, understanding customer and business priorities.
*Work cross-functionally with our Head of HR to review appraisal and career conversations and support calibration process.
*Engagement and wellbeing, including robustly communicating the engagement survey and root cause analysis of results delivering survey activities.
*Identifying opportunities to continuously improve the overall colleague experience including listening focus groups, colleague voice forums, team builds etc.


To be considered for the position:

*You will be an experienced HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or similar, ideally with a background in the manufacturing, FMCG, fresh produce, or retailer sectors.
*You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 accredited or working towards it
*You will have generalist experience including key areas of HR such as - ER, employee development and retention, payroll, recruitment, etc.
*You will have experience of line managing other HR staff, such as HR Advisors/Administrators etc.
*You will live a commutable distance from Huntingdon as this is local to where your sites will be.
