Job role: HR Officer/ PA to CEO - Location: Hitchin
Salary: £21-24K Pro rata - Hours: 25-37.5 hours per week

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is experienced with HR processes, organised and motivated, to use your administration, HR and organisational skills to help take an ambitious and growing young charity to the next level. This is a real opportunity to grow your own experience, personal development and skill set.

We need an effective HR Officer to support our busy Chief Executive and our 30 employees. Key areas include managing the Volunteer Coordinator, employee on-boarding, in-life adjustments, policy review and maintenance of the HR system. The role will also involve providing PA support to our CEO, this will include diary management, communication support and other duties as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:
*To undertake all employee HR administration which includes, on-boarding, leavers and in-life adjustments.
*To maintain the currency of our website as regards HR and volunteers.
*To maintain our HR system and database to ensure data is accurate.
*Provide PA support to CEO which will include diary management, helping to ensure communications are sent out accordingly and other duties as they arise.
*To be a first point-of-call for external communications coming into the charity via the website, this will include beneficiary referrals and general enquiries.
*Manage the volunteer support and ensure quality standards and admin around volunteering and volunteer recruitment and training, which sits with our Hub Co-ordinators and Project Managers.
*Liaise with the accounts officer as regards payroll and expenses.

Required Skills and Abilities
*You have great organisational/ administrative skills, are self-motivated and capable.
*Empathy/Awareness and understanding of the needs, issues, and concerns of vulnerable young people
*Able to write reports and assist with policy development.
*Experience of using social media, whether personally or organisationally.
*Good experience of database and record systems.
*Good IT competence with good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Breathe HR, MS Teams and Sharepoint helpful but training will be given.

*Able to provide a satisfactory enhanced DBS check

*A driver with no more than three points on licence with access to own vehicle
*Experience working in a charity.
*HR management experience
