Location: Sheffield
Salary: Up to £60,000 + package

Strong Group are acting on behalf of a client who are a specialist hire company with a unique consultative approach. We urgently require an Industrial Automation Engineer / Technician to join our clients growing team based in Sheffield.
The successful candidate will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining market-leading solutions. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining process control instruments along with their respective controllers within modular control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Experience with modular control systems and troubleshooting issues related to control systems and online telemetry.
* Collaborate with engineering teams for on-site commissioning and optimization of controls.
* Basic PLC programming is essential; experience with PID and other control strategies is advantageous.


You will spend 3-4 days working at the Sheffield center of excellence, with the remaining time on customer sites across the UK, necessitating a willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays. A company van will be provided, so a current driving license is required.

Requirements:

* Must have: Skill related CSCS Card
* Must have: NVQ Level 3 (in electrical/mechanical/engineering or similar)
* Must have: Clear DBS check is required, and you may need to undergo security clearance.
* Must have: all applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
* Candidates with experience in water treatment-either from a water company or brewing operations-will have an advantage.
* A clean, full driving license is essential, as this role will involve some UK travel.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Good IT skills.
* Customer relationship skills.
