Title: Project Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £65,000
Henderson Brown are recruiting for a Project Manager to work with one of our key clients who are a well-established high technology company. The role offers the opportunity to deliver complex projects right across the development cycle.
This role will be to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and budget, and that they meet the full scope of customer requirements. You will be managing and enhancing the delivery efficiency of projects, through minimising active development time as well as managing and reporting on progress made and forecasting future timescales, this is to ensure that all areas of the business are aware of and kept up to date on the latest project timelines and status.
Key aspects of the role will include:
*To manage, co-ordinate and direct a number of multi-discipline, engineering projects (2 or 3 at a time) across a full product lifecycle from definition to release usually lasting 6 - 18 months
*Ownership and management of all cross-functional project workstreams including sales, marketing, supply chain, support, quality, manufacturing and any third-party external resources.
*Leading the planning and implementation of projects also liaising with key stakeholders
*Owning the agreed project scope, milestones, and deliverables to ensure they are maintained in a controlled manner
*Develop and maintain the project artifacts including project budget, project plans, quality plans, risk register and business case.
*Manage dynamically using multiple methodologies as required by the project such as SCRUM, Kanban and waterfall.
*Develop supplier participation and capabilities in prototype manufacture, including risk management of speculative material purchases they need to make.
*To assist in continuous improvement of the product development processes and documenting best practice.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Good educational background to at least degree level.
*Proven working experience as a project manager in a technical environment.
*Demonstrable understanding or hands-on experience in real product development encompassing embedded software, hardware and FPGA.
*Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, JIRA, etc.
*Passion for delivering projects into the market.
*Ability to interact with all levels of the organisation, including at Board level.
*Working knowledge of Agile processes.
*Working knowledge of Linux based systems (desired)
*PMP / PRINCE II certification (desired)
