Our client is the market leader in its sector and is clearly established in the UK with strong relationships with all of its customers. Due to a reorganisation our client is now looking for a new Managing Director to take this successful business to the next stage and develop it further.
We are looking for a financially and operationally astute general manager with strong people and leadership skills combined with an analytical and strategic mindset. We need someone who can take charge of day to day situations yet have an ability to set out a strategy in conjunction with the Main Board and deliver against this.
Ideally you will have experience of supplying short shelf life products to the major UK multiple retailers however it is essential that you have experience of managing complex multi-site operations, delivering excellent customer service to the UK multiple grocers and/or multiple retailers.
You will be commercially savvy, someone who can develop excellent relationships at a senior level with the UK major retail multiples and a natural team leader with a track record of driving growth whilst maintaining gross and improving net profits.
It is likely that you are either an established general manager or you are a financially or operational biased director, used to managing and leading teams and used to contributing at a senior level from a strategic perspective. Overall you should be assertive, a good presenter and negotiator with strategic, tactical and operational skills.
The package includes a significant basic salary with an exceptional bonus + executive package.
