Main Automotive Manufacturer Parts and Accessory Business Development Manager.

A vacancy has arisen for an Experienced Parts and Accessories BDM for our client a well-known Vehicle manufacturer on a 12 - 15 month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave and in that time become the first point of contact for the business, the ideal person will need to hit the floor running due to the nature of the role but there will be an integration term with the current manager prior to their maternity leave commencing.
You will be reporting to the Uk & Europe Sales Manager.
Salary for this role will be £43040 and a lunch allowance payable monthly
22 Days holiday + Bank Holidays
37.5 Hour week
Office based in Birmingham area
A company vehicle is not supplied with this role but the use of a vehicle on company business and site visits will be provided

You will need extensive experience and have the following core skills and competencies:
? Minimum 5 years' automotive experience
? Minimum 3 years' experience of working with dealer network and/or Car Company NSC's
? Minimum 3 years' experience managing a large key account (min £5m turnover per annum)
? Clear understanding of aftersales/parts business
? Strong influencing skills
? Constructively manage relationships with key stakeholders
? Strong communication skills both written and verbal
? Ability to negotiate and persuasively sell ideas
? Proactive approach
? Tenacious, energetic and focused team player
? Excellent attention to detail
? Strong Excel skills
? Located within 1 hours commuting distance of the Birmingham area

Desirable but essential core skills
? Understanding of automotive logistics
? People management
? Automotive technical/ mechanical knowledge
? Comprehensive analytical skills

Clean full UK driving licence

a) Pro-actively manage and influence the accounts to maximise business potential
b) Actively collaborate with all departments
c) Maximise dealer Genuine Parts and Accessory turnover to obtain annual sales target
d) Influence designated accounts to deliver customer satisfaction
e) Agree local and centralised initiatives with car companies
f) Manage contractual service level to car companies (distributors and subsidiaries)
G) Analyse and use information and data to recognise challenges and opportunities

Key Tasks
? Main channel of communication between designated brand/territories
? Build and maintain working relationship with the After sales departments (parts, service, warranty) and with vehicle sales and marketing of distributor/sales company and dealer network
? Influence internal and external stakeholders
? Clear, concise and regular communication (written, reports and verbal)
? Work with the company UK Accessory Marketing Specialist to agree, plan, support and review launch and development of accessories for the brand

Key Result Areas which are monitored

? Relationship Management (via feedback)
? Achievement of agreed sales targets
? KPI adhesion of designated accounts
? Implementation of dealer initiatives, promotions etc.
? Implementation of centrally developed initiatives
