Commercial General Manager - Distributor of Heating Products
Our Client are a Group of, at present, four, engineering OEM, design/install/maintain and factoring/distribution companies who have been at the forefront of the heating/plumbing/renewables/underfloor heating/etc. sector for several decades. They are the acknowledged market leaders in the distribution and manufacture of products in their specialist field, having gained an enviable reputation for both quality and after-sales service.
Due to a planned retirement they now require a commercially minded General Manager to take P+L responsibility and assume full control of one of their small B2B distribution based businesses with c.10 employees including sales, purchasing and administration.
The successful candidate will be required to:
*Assume strategic direction
*Drive material growth in the fast-developing renewable energy market
*Manage Key Account relationships
*Purchase product and nurture close supplier relationships
*Lead and develop the team
*Use your commercial and technical acumen to develop new markets & identify additional products
*Monthly reporting to Group Board
Our client is looking for strong applicants with the following experience:
*Commercial/Sales focussed approach
*Strong leadership/managerial skills
*Experience of selling via distribution to the trade
*Good appreciation of financials and how to act on them
*Understanding of heating/plumbing/renewables/underfloor heating, etc.
Location: West Midlands
Salary: Depending on Experience
