Job Title: Mechanical Contracts Manager
Location: Croydon, Surrey
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000

About the Role: We are currently seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join the Mechanical Contracts Team of a leading engineering firm. This role is integral in providing comprehensive support to the firm's Mechanical and Electrical Installation Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee mechanical projects with budgets ranging from £100,000 to £5,000,000 from initiation to completion.
* Understand and scrutinize project documents, including contracts, specifications, and drawings.
* Prepare health and safety documentation, technical submissions, schedules, and work programs.
* Participate and lead meetings before and after contract awards.
* Manage subcontractor negotiations and appointments.
* Ensure timely preparation of contract reports, financial submissions, and management of project phases.

Requirements:

* At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in Building Services Engineering.
* Proven track record in managing significant mechanical projects.
* Competency in computer-based estimation software, MS Project, or Asta Powerproject, and proficiency in Excel and Word.
* Must hold a clean driving license and a current CSCS Card.

Desirable Attributes:

* Excellent knowledge of contract law, project administration, and financial management.
* Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
