The Role
A growing mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to deliver HVAC and mechanical building services projects across the UK and Ireland.
This is a senior delivery role with responsibility for managing multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing full project lifecycles, and supporting the wider project management function. You will work closely with senior management while maintaining a strong hands-on presence across live sites.
Project values range from £5k to £1m, covering HVAC, heating, ventilation, hot & cold water services, and associated mechanical packages.
Key Responsibilities

Manage HVAC & mechanical projects from pre-start through to handover

Oversee programme, budget, quality, and H&S compliance
*
Attend client meetings, pre-starts, and regular progress meetings
*
Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour
*
Plan and manage resources across multiple live projects
*
Procure materials and manage suppliers
*
Prepare and manage RAMS and method statements
*
Control variations and commercial changes
*
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and snag-free
*
Produce O&M manuals and handover documentation
*
Carry out site surveys and assist with bids and tender submissions
*
Support and coordinate other Project Managers where required
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services
*
Strong HVAC and mechanical systems knowledge
*
Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
*
Solid understanding of industry legislation and best practice
*
Confident client-facing communicator
*
ONC / HNC in Building Services (HVAC) preferred
*
CSCS card and strong health & safety knowledge essential
*
IT literate and comfortable working from CAD drawings
