Mechanical Test Engineer required for a market leading and well-respected engineering company who can offer an excellent opportunity to work in a highly skilled team supporting major clients.

The ideal Mechanical Test Engineer will come from a varied mechanical testing background. Alongside this, knowledge of Product standards or Quality Accreditations such as UKAS/ISO 17025 would be ideal but is not essential.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be testing external clients/manufactured products/materials to set standards to the most rigorous levels. Testing is bespoke and varied, making this an interesting role. The role includes fatigue and elevated temperature testing so that prior experience in either would be highly advantageous. You will also be expected to liaise with the design department to provide bespoke test fixtures and fittings.

This is an opportunity which will provide stable work in a friendly environment where you will be testing a variety of client products, where no two days will be the same.

The Mechanical Test Engineer role:

* Mechanical Testing for a range of materials/products from external manufacturers
* Evaluating products for introduction into the marketplace through acceptance testing
* Evaluating test specifications and providing quotations
* Report writing and compiling
* Fatigue and elevated temperature testing
* Product Load Bearing Testing

The Mechanical Test Engineer:

* Mechanical Test Engineer
* Knowledge of compliance standards highly preferred
* Experience with fatigue testing and elevated temperature testing highly desirable
* Experience of mechanical measuring equipment and hand tools
