Packaging Operative

£22,000 to £25,000 DOE + 32 Days Holiday + Some Overtime + Shift Allowance (On Night shifts Circa £3000 Per Annum) + Pension + Beer Allowance + Discounts + External Courses and Internal Training


Monday to Saturday, 3 Shift, 5 days out of 6 (Eventually moving to Panama Shift).

Packaging Operative due to growth, within an FMCG Manufacturer. Offering a personable working environment, with opportunities for development and progression.

The successful Packaging Operative will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally with FMCG or packaging. Those with experience within liquid manufacturing or chemicals will be at a significant advantage.

The Packaging Operative Role:

* Packing of beers to company standards.
* Maintain inventory and all paperwork.
* Operating production equipment.
* pH analysis and recording.
* CO2 adjustments.
* Tasting sampled pass out product.
* Recording all data appropriately to production sheets, databases and business software.
* Ensure cleanliness of all equipment to maintain beer quality.
* Work safely within tight spaces and with various cleaning / sterilisation chemicals. 
* Cover weekend duty brewer checks and brewery tours on rota. 
* Represent the brewery at a local and national level when needed. 

The Successful Packaging Operative:

*You will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment, ideally with FMCG or packaging.

Advantageous Experience:

* Experience within Liquid manufacturing or Chemicals.
* Knowledge of bottle/can filling.
* Tray/shrink or enclosed carton machine set up/operation/optimisation experience.
