Our long term client, who provides support to retail organisations in the supply of a range of products including bespoke packaging, garment hangers, visual merchandising materials, electronic office supplies and warehouse consumables, due to their continued success, are looking to strengthen their Purchasing Team



The company's success is that their value is recognised by clients through cost and time efficiencies, in addition to the support they receive with helping strengthen their environmental credentials.



They have a number of warehouse facilities worldwide and support a number of household names in the retail industry such as Superdry, Hunkemöller, JD Sports, Hugo Boss, Harrods, Abercrombie & Fitch, Dr Martens and Clarks.



The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Head Office Procurement Team and will include the following duties:



* Raising and placing purchase orders ensuring best value for the goods/services procured
* Reviewing of ERP system to identify required stock and ad-hoc purchases
* Assisting in negotiation of contracts,
* Managing outstanding order book, effectively expediting purchase orders with external suppliers
* Managing supplier delivery issues
* Preparing reports, analysis, to colleagues and business as required
* Reviewing and maintenance of stock minimum inventory levels and replenishment volumes in line with current demand
* Liaising with internal departments including Finance, Customer Service and Warehouse



Key Skills & Experience Required for this role



* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload
* Previous procurement/sourcing and negotiation experience would be an advantage,
* Strong IT skills including Excel
* Work well as part of a small team but also using own initiative
