Company client is a medical technology company who are leading innovators within their industry. They develop, manufacture and commercialise diagnostic platforms.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will work as part of the production Team, contributing towards the successful commercialisation of the company’s omega-3 product and development of future products.
Your primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, clean-in-place (CIP) and operation of sterilisation equipment and bioreactors, media preparation and enrichment, sterile inoculation and sampling of product, as well as conforming to quality control measures, maintaining records and safety procedures.
You will be expected to apply your experience and knowledge proactively to mechanical trouble shooting, methods and processes, operation design, implementation, and reporting of experiments to both the Production Team and other departments within the company.
The role will require you to work flexibly and tackle complex problems either as an individual or as part of a team.
We are seeking driven individuals with a flexible approach to work who are keen to make their mark within a rapidly growing award-winning biotechnology start-up company.
The ideal candidate will be educated to HND level within a biological or engineering related field with experience in handling live organisms within a hygienic environment, or with industrial experience in a food and beverage manufacturing facility preferably with practical knowledge in CIP, pasteurisation, fermentation, filtration, and or centrifugation.
You will need a keen eye for detail and be an excellent communicator with the ability to work independently and effectively within team. You will have a positive ‘can do’ approach and a keen interest in the use of biotechnology for the benefit of the environment.
