Pump and Monitoring Equipment Engineer

Location: Bilsthorpe, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed

Our client, a leading provider in environmental and geotechnical solutions, is hiring a Pump and Monitoring Equipment Engineer. This role, based in their Bilsthorpe yard, offers the opportunity to work within a skilled team, supporting the preparation and servicing of pumping and monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Workshop and Yard Management:

* Maintain a clean, organized workspace, managing pump service and electrical preparation areas.
* Collaborate with the Yard Manager and SHEQ team to optimize yard operations.
* Ensure equipment is clean, presentable, and in excellent working order before dispatch.

* Pump Preparation, Servicing, and Testing:

* Prepare, test, and maintain 3-phase electric pumps (1 - 37kw).
* Perform cable connections using heat shrink and/or resin joints.
* Execute calibration and commissioning tests on all equipment, updating equipment status in the control database.

* Monitoring Equipment Preparation and Testing:

* Prepare and maintain datalogger units and electromagnetic flow meters.
* Test instruments, including vibrating wire transducers and 4-20 mA sensors.
* Maintain accurate stock levels and update locations in inventory.

* Health & Safety Compliance:

* Adhere to Health and Safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Technical Background:

* Mechanical and electrical engineering experience; 17th edition wiring regulations (BS7671:2008) is a plus.
* Prior experience in pump servicing with a solid understanding of electrical/mechanical safety.
* Familiarity with electronics, instrumentation, and datalogger programming is advantageous.

* Computer Skills:

* Competent in MS Office (Word and Excel).
