Company client is a development / Investment group, that has been operating for over 50 years and delivers on multiple residential projects each year, these include both new builds sites and upward extensions. Client generally operates as the principal contractor retaining a small direct workforce. We have excellent relationships with several trusted long standing sub-contractors and professionals.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager who has the intelligence, drive and appetite to progress their career further taking on more responsibility.

The successful candidate should not be afraid of hard work as their career progression and opportunity to share in the success of the Company will be key.


The Role:

We will require the successful candidate to be involved in a range of construction and management activities. They will be given the opportunity in conjunction with running one of our sites to shadow our Building Director who has over 50 years’ experience in the building and engineering field.  

We are about to commence work on a £7.5m Site in Harringay, to deliver 23 flats and 3 houses. The role will require the successful candidate to liaise with the present Building Director progressing the site, working with our design team and QS.

The role will be based at Head Office or different sites primarily across North London but occasionally might require travel further afield. Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm.


Key Responsibilities:
·        Liaison with Design Team and Construction Professionals.
·        Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
·        Liaison and supervision of all sub-contract trades.
·        Manage all site activities to ensure compliance with safety, good practice and Employer requirements are adhered to, along with ensuring that programme and budget requirements are met.
·        Ensure drawings and specifications are being worked to and that standards of work comply with Building Control and NHBC requirements.
·        Prepare programmes, budgets and all other paperwork as required.
·        Provide high level customer service and co-operation with Sales Staff and other Staff Members from within the Group or otherwise engaged.


Key requirements:

NVQ to appropriate level. Valid CSCS card at appropriate skill level. First Aid training. Formal Building or Civil Engineering qualification would be an advantage. Fire Warden and Temporary Works Supervisory training would be advantageous. A full clean driving license. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
