Role: Senior DevOps Engineer - Kafka & REST APIs

Location: Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite in St. Gallen

Length: Until 31.12.2025 (extension likely)

Languages: German (fluent) & English (fluent)



I'm currently working with a client in the banking/finance sector who is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer - Kafka & REST APIs (100%) to support a large-scale internal IT initiative.



You'll work closely with internal tech teams to drive automation, standardization, and release management. The position offers a modern tech stack and a highly collaborative environment.



Here are some key details:



* Several years of experience in a DevOps or IT engineering role
* Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools: Argo CD, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform
* Deep understanding of Kafka infrastructure (Streams, CDC, distributed tracing, logging, etc.)
* Skilled in REST APIs and asynchronous service communication
* Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure) and container tech
* Background in ITIL, service lifecycle management, and automated testing
