Senior Electrical Estimator

A well-established and growing multi-disciplinary building services contractor is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join its Birmingham team. With projects spanning residential, hospitality, education, commercial, and healthcare sectors across the UK, this is a company that delivers high-value, technically complex MEP packages.
You'll be joining a strong estimating team, reporting to the Electrical Estimating Manager, and working alongside three Senior Estimators and one Junior Estimator. Projects typically range from £5 million to £50 million MEP value, with electrical packages valued between £2 million and £20 million.
Key Responsibilities

Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries
*
Prepare take-offs from drawings and input into estimating software (Amtech)
*
Utilise digital platforms like 4Projects for document control and information access
*
Prepare accurate and competitive tender pricing
*
Participate in client meetings (mid and post-tender)
*
Present tenders for internal review and sign-off
*
Deliver detailed tender submissions and comprehensive handover reports to the delivery team
Essential Requirements
*
Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above)
*
4+ years of experience in electrical estimating
*
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools
*
Experienced with estimating software (e.g., Amtech)
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
*
HNC in Building Services Engineering / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation / Time-served electrician
*
Confident attending client meetings and presenting tender detail
*
Experience working on a variety of project types and values
