Position Overview:
They are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Estimator who can hit the ground running, lead the tendering process, and work closely with project and operational teams to ensure competitive and accurate bids.
Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for mechanical tenders from £3m to £25m

Detailed analysis of drawings, specifications, and employer requirements
*
Preparation of accurate take-offs and cost estimates
*
Supplier and subcontractor pricing analysis and negotiation
*
Value engineering and alternative solution proposals
*
Close liaison with project managers, directors, and commercial teams
*
Participation in mid and post-tender interviews and negotiations
*
Support smooth handover to operations on successful tenders
Candidate Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry
*
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and design & build environments
*
Experience working on high-value commercial and/or residential projects
*
Able to work independently and manage multiple tenders at once
*
Excellent commercial awareness, numeracy, and negotiation skills
*
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
*
Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
Contract Type & Benefits:

Salary up to £75,000, depending on skills and experience

8am-5pm working hours, Monday to Friday

Office-based (no hybrid working)
