Location: Canton Ticino - hybrid

Job Type: Full-time



One of our most innovative partners is looking for a Senior Observability Engineer to join their growing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. As they continue to expand their product portfolio and strengthen their global presence, they are looking for someone who can help ensure their cloud services remain reliable, high-performing, and fully observable.





What you'll do:



* Champion observability best practices across the organisation
* Develop and implement monitoring tools and automation to streamline operations
* Collaborate closely with engineering teams to establish consistent observability standards and instrumentation
* Proactively identify and resolve issues before they escalate into user-impacting problems
* Build monitoring solutions that span the entire software lifecycle - from development environments to CI/CD pipelines and live production systems
* Define, measure, and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
* Support the growth of the team, including assisting with recruitment and onboarding when needed
* Take part in the on-call rota to maintain service availability
* Lead post-incident reviews with a focus on learning and continuous improvement



What you'll bring:



* Strong experience working with observability in distributed systems
* In-depth knowledge of OpenTelemetry, with the ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot collector pipelines
* Practical experience with the Grafana LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
* Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
* A solid understanding of working in environments with strict confidentiality and data privacy requirements
* Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Hands-on experience with AWS monitoring and observability services
* A good understanding of Kubernetes and its observability ecosystem
