NPI and Technical Coordinator required for a leading beverage manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a well-established and reputable company who are truly committed to the wellbeing of their staff. The company can offer fantastic training and development opportunities for someone looking to become a specialist in their line of work.
To apply for this role, you will ideally come from a food or beverage background however candidates from other FMCG environments and recipe-based production environments are encouraged to apply. This role would suit candidates who have worked hands on with production, have worked in a laboratory environment and/or those coming from a quality assurance background. Any additional compliance experience would be desirable, but the company can provide training on this, so it is not essential.
Reporting into the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for helping to oversee the development of new and existing products and ensuring operational compliance. You will split your time between working in the laboratory and overseeing the administrative side of compliance, to ensure the process between NPI and production is as smooth as possible. Excellent communication skills are essential, especially with the central R&D department.
The laboratory work will involve mixing ingredients to trial recipes - understanding their interactions and their order of addition is critical. You will produce visual standards for all new and modified formulations and will look to continuously improve the process, such as looking for ways to reduce formulation blending costs and reducing waste. Also key to the laboratory aspect is the requirement to lead the sensory program for the production site.
On the compliance side, you will ensure packaging and labelling legislation is adhered to and all ingredient declarations are correct, including ensuring that allergens are clearly labelled.

*Mixing trialling recipes for both new and updated products
*Ensuring packaging and labelling is correct and compliant with legislation
