I am urgently recruiting for an admin savvy, quick-thinking, organised individual for my client that is in one of the sophisticated industry sectors of engineering. Previous Purchasing experience is not essential but an outgoing personality is required. If you have previous telesales, marketing, or outgoing phone call experience then this could be the career for you.
As the Purchasing Assistant, you will provide direct support to the Purchasing Manager by processing orders, liaising with suppliers and raising Purchase Orders using IT systems as well as using Microsoft programmes such as Excel to run reports. It is a vital attribute that you have excellent attention to detail and you are able to communicate effectively. Due to the nature of this position, we are open to considering an individual who may not have had extensive purchasing experience - but is happy to learn. As long as they can bring strong interpersonal skills to the table.
