Are you an experienced Web Designer with the ability to commute to St Neots 3 days per week, whilst working from home for 2 days per week?

If so, our International client based in St Neots could have the perfect hybrid-working Web Designer EMEA role for you!

The Role:

The Web Designer - EMEA will work closely with the User Experience and web design team within the U.S. and local marketing team, with responsibility for growing the online presence of all EMEA websites. This varied role will mean you are the go-to person for deliverables across EMEA websites, including site page updates, banner ads, landing page design and continuous improvement projects.

More detail on the role:

* Work with the UX and UI team to create unique, strong, and inventive front-end user experiences.
* Coordinate with the UX team on content changes and the publishing schedule.
* Optimise site performance, UX and drive greater conversions.
* Cooperate with in-house design & marketing teams to gather and refine specifications and requirements for development.
* Ensure a smooth connection with Marketing and Analytics Tools, Platform APIs to optimise the buyer journey and online shop for overall efficiency and functionality.
* Serve as project lead and project manager, while also ensuring collaboration with relevant teams to meet deadlines.
* Present creative concepts to business stakeholders, and deliver timely, high-quality, formal design work, that contributes to a world-class customer experience.
* Create visual designs and assets originating from multiple sources to ensure consistency with internal standards and guidelines - including tone, style, legal requirements, and brand compliance.
* Modify and create front end HTML code.
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies/industry trends to enhance operations and activities.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

this role will have exposure to dealing with people across the business in EMEA and America, at all levels - strong communication skills are essential!

The Person:

* Bachelor's degree in design, marketing, or related field or equivalent relative work experience.
* 2+ years of professional digital design experience required.
* Acute attention to detail and strong project management and coordination skills.
* A good understanding of the end-to-end UX process is preferred.
* Experience of user-centred design, demonstrable track record of developing digital solutions for online experiences, and a solid understanding of best practices in web design and production.
* Previous ecommerce or large-scale web site experience in a design or UX role.
* A portfolio that demonstrates strong formal design skills (layout and typography) and design thinking.
* Very strong Photoshop/graphic editing skills and illustrator or wire-framing tools.
* Solid command of basic HTML and an understanding of CSS. Advanced front-end developer experience is a bonus.
* Ability to leverage white papers, web resources and analytics to inform design decision making.
* Experience interpreting Google Analytics.
* Responsive design, mobile and merchandising experience preferred.
* Exceptional attention to detail throughout the design process, effective execution against design requirements, production and QA testing of deliverables.
* Experience with core UX activities preferred: conducting heuristic and best practice reviews, user testing/validation, translating insights into actionable designs, testing the efficacy of these designs.
* Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills.
* Endeca and/or large-site CMS experience preferred but not required.
* Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other time essential constraints.

Our client is offering a basic salary of £35,000, plus excellent benefits, working on a hybrid basis, 2 days at home and 3 days in the office.
