Electrical Support Engineer required by a well-established manufacturer.
The Electrical Support Engineer is a really varied and interesting position. You will manage electrical tasks, testing protocols and issues in conjunction with the Head of Engineering.

The Electrical Support Role:
Manage Electrical tasks, testing protocols and issues in conjunction with the Senior Mech Engineer and Head of Engineering;
Conform to, own, develop and manage the Job Pack system for all electrically biased Job Packs;
Own and manage all electrically biased Concessions;
Own and manage all electrically biased Engineering Changes (ECs);
Own the creation, review, development, certification and management of electrically biased BoMs;
Own the management of all electrically biased data, manuals, drawings, information, etc;
Determine, design/ select and reverse engineer electrical components, systems and test equipment;
Carry out electrically biased investigations, analyses, research and assessments to support NCRs, customer complaints, warranty claims, fault diagnosis, casualties, overhaul activities, creation of COIs, method statements, manuals, work instructions, RAMS, etc;
The Electrical Support Engineer:
Experienced engineer with a minimum HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in an electrical/ electronics/ avionics (Electrically biased) engineering discipline;
Electrical design experience;
A solid working knowledge and grasp of electrical fundamentals, principles and their application to products, fault diagnosis, analyses and design;
Knowledge of electrical testing systems, fault diagnosis and root cause analysis, in-particular for: couplers, final drives, motor gear units, cooler groups, transmissions, electrical heads, contact boxes, uncoupling switches, jumper cables, sensors, gauges, motors;
Knowledge of engineering standards and regulations pertaining to rail operations such as RSSB, RISAS, RISQS, TfL/ LUL (or equivalent);
Knowledge of electrical assets and systems from other sectors including marine, oil and gas, industrial gearboxes/ motors/ pumps/ valves, sensors, instrumentation, condition monitoring, testing;
Familiar in the use of CAD systems - company use NX and TeamCenter.
