Quantity Surveyor
Location: Kenley, Surrey
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Pattern: Primarily Office-Based with Flexibility as Required
About the Role
Our client is a growing construction contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across London and the South East, with contract values ranging from £5,000 to £4 million.
They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, taking responsibility for the financial management of projects from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage project budgets, CVRs and financial reports.
* Administer projects under JCT and NEC contract forms.
* Manage procurement, including subcontractor enquiries, negotiations and appointments.
* Prepare and submit valuations and payment applications.
* Produce and manage variation costings.
* Monitor project costs and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage subcontractor accounts through to final account settlement.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
* Support the successful delivery of multiple projects while ensuring commercial objectives are achieved.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
* Experience working on refurbishment, fit-out and/or construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
* Experience managing budgets, CVRs, valuations, procurement and variations.
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
