Assistant to Intermediate Fit Out Estimator

Location: Putney, London
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

A commercial fit-out contractor is seeking an Assistant to Intermediate Fit Out Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The role will support the full tender process across CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects, working closely with the Bid Manager and Senior Estimator to produce accurate, competitive tenders.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing cost plans, estimates, and tender submissions for commercial fit-out projects

Carry out take-offs from drawings and specifications
*

Issue and analyse subcontractor and supplier enquiries
*

Support tender strategy, value engineering, and risk identification
*

Assist with preparation of BOQs, clarifications, assumptions, programmes, and tender documentation
*

Attend internal tender reviews, handover meetings, and post-tender discussions
*

Liaise with internal design, commercial, and operations teams throughout the bid process

Requirements

*

Minimum 3 years' experience in fit-out estimating
*

Background in commercial fit-out (CAT A / CAT B)
*

Strong understanding of tendering and estimating processes
*

Confident reading drawings and specifications
*

Organised, detail-focused, and keen to progress within estimating
