Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (DOE)
Level: Intermediate to Senior considered

The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established and growing housebuilder who are looking to strengthen their estimating team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative business with a strong pipeline of work. The role is open to candidates at varying levels, offering flexibility depending on experience and career stage.

The Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, ensuring projects are accurately assessed and costed from early land appraisal through to tender stage.

Key Responsibilities

Produce cost appraisals for new land opportunities
*

Carry out detailed take-offs and develop them into cost plans and feasibility studies
*

Review drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates (materials, labour, plant)
*

Support tender submissions, including pricing, bid documentation, and proposals
*

Liaise with Land, Technical, and Design teams to gather key project information
*

Maintain and update cost databases and estimating records
*

Provide wider support across pre-construction and estimating activities

About You

*

Experience in an Estimating role within construction (housebuilding experience beneficial but not essential)
*

Open to candidates from Intermediate through to Senior level
*

Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/HND, BTEC or working towards) in Construction or similar
*

Strong understanding of construction methods and cost planning principles
*

Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
*

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
*

Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
*

Proactive mindset with a desire to develop professionally

Desirable Experience

*

Experience within new-build housing
*

Exposure to tendering across wider construction sectors
