Overview
An established and growing Electrical & Mechanical contractor is looking to appoint an Electrical Estimator to support continued growth across its predominantly residential project portfolio.
This role suits a detail-driven and commercially aware estimator who enjoys working on a high volume of projects and being closely involved with the wider pre-construction and delivery teams.
Projects typically range in value from £50k to £1m, with approximately 90% residential and some light commercial exposure.
The position is primarily office-based in Gloucestershire, with the option to work from home up to two days per week once fully integrated into the business.
Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate and competitive electrical estimates and tender submissions

Interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
*
Carry out labour and material take-offs to support cost planning and budgeting
*
Work closely with directors, pre-construction, and project delivery teams
*
Support pricing across multiple residential projects concurrently
*
Attend site visits when required to gather information and support estimates
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
*
Ensure tenders are submitted accurately, commercially, and on time
Experience & Requirements
*
Proven experience in electrical estimating
*
Strong background in residential electrical projects
*
Comfortable working on project values from £50k-£1m
*
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
*
Organised, analytical, and commercially minded
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
