Job Title: Office Administrator
Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (no hybrid)
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (DOE)
Holiday: 28 days (less bank holidays)
About the role We're seeking a reliable, organised Office Administrator to join an efficient, busy office in Sittingbourne. You'll be the first point of contact for callers, support day-to-day office operations and purchasing processes, and keep administrative systems accurate and up to date. This is a hands-on, on-site role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working with people and improving office processes.
Key responsibilities
* Answer and make telephone calls professionally; manage enquiries and route calls/messages as needed
* Process purchase orders and allocate Proof of Delivery (POD) documents accurately
* General administrative duties: filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry and document management
* Monitor and order office and site supplies (stationery, consumables), track stock levels
* Schedule, arrange and book meetings, including room bookings and meeting materials
* Maintain and update spreadsheets and databases to ensure accurate records
* Support colleagues with ad-hoc administrative projects and team tasks
Skills & experience
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
* Previous office/administrative experience preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional telephone manner
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills; able to prioritise multiple tasks
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
* Experience with Sage is advantageous but not essential
