Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to join our team in Derby. This role involves comprehensive safety checks, maintenance, and calibration of equipment, ensuring compliance and operational readiness. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining high safety standards and supporting customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive safety checks, testing, maintenance, and calibration of hire and customer-owned equipment.
* Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately, both digitally and physically.
* Maintain the workshop and equipment, ensuring sufficient volumes of core hire equipment are always available.
* Manage workloads effectively, prioritising tasks efficiently to meet operational demands.
* Provide telephone support to customers, addressing queries and offering technical assistance.
* Maintain an organised stock of spare parts for timely repairs and replacements.
* Communicate professionally with customers via email and telephone.
* Attend internal and external training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
* Liaise with national teams, offering support and collaboration as required.
Requirements
* Demonstrate a high level of IT literacy for digital and physical documentation.
* Possess drive and motivation to learn and adapt to new challenges.
* Exhibit a strong desire to deliver results and perform effectively under pressure.
* Show excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Be a collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
* Display strong problem solving abilities to address technical issues.
* Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
